I had to rush to a voice over this morning and when I arrived I saw I had so many missed calls and messages. Instead of presuming the messages were Valentines related, I just knew something was wrong. Strange.
I got the news about Reeva Steenkamp and Oscar Pistorius. I have been shaken to my core and I felt myself shaking and full of goosebumps non-stop. I just cannot believe it. I can't believe she's gone and so horrifically.
There are so many rumours and speculation going around and at the end of the day, we can only wait for facts. The truth ALWAYS comes out.
I just want to send my condolences to both families. I can't even begin to imagine what they're going through. It's just so tragic.
RIP Reeva, you really are going to be missed.
So while the day felt incredibly sad and surreal, I was cheered up by the incredibly special people in my life.
It's amazing how receiving a delivery of roses can make you feel so special. I had the goofiest grin on my face. 12 long stemmed roses arrived at the radio station with a beautiful card and they made my day!
Thank you!!
When I got home, Duke and I had a play session ... I got a Valentines gift from Duke - just not quite what I expected. I was sitting on the grass and threw his favourite toy. He went running after it and then came running back, but not before stepping in a "land-mine" and bouncing onto me. I landed up with dog poo all over my jeans.
Look how happy he looks... Little shit. Excuse the Pun!I blogged a few days ago about how he loves bunching up his pillow and putting part of it in his mouth, like a dummy. Well, he managed to bunch his pillow up into a "heart" ... Too sweet! My mom noticed it and took a photograph of him.
I hope you all had a wonderful Valentines Day and let everyone know how special they are to you.
Thank you for reading my blog and for the kind comments. I appreciate it more than you know.

Stunning flowers, lucky girl! And Duke... soooo cute with his pillow! He really is a special boy!
The Oscar and Reeva story is a terrible tragedy... it was the first thing I heard as I woke up as I wake to the radio news. It has been playing on my mind ever since - I know that people get murdered every day around the world, but I think because they are such huge personalities, especially Oscar, everyone finds it shocking.
The truth will be told with time, but sadly that won't be much comfort to the bereaved family and friends :-(
Awww loving at Duke he is such a rascal! I know, the news about Oscar has been devestating :'( it feels like something bad happened to a family member, RIP Reeva, she seems like such a beautiful woman inside out. xoxo
I am still I'm shock...I think this has hit us all so hard. I feel sick...and just so very sad for everyone :-(
Glad you got spoilt ;-)
The heart-shaped pillow is just too cute!
